There's something about Summer that makes you want a little change ~ and even though our seasons don't shift the way they do elsewhere, that slight change in the air, the fresh wave of colour moving through the stores and vacation planning is all the nudge you need to switch things up a bit. I try to curate pieces that work as hard as you do ~ effortlessly moving from a school run to a lunch meeting to evening moments at home or on a trip. Here's what I'm loving this season.

Forget the stiff silhouette, a blazer that is soft, slightly oversized, and made to be worn open over a casual tee, bralette or dressy cami is perfect to take you from day to night. It transitions seamlessly from casual to polished ~ a true workhorse that earns its hanger space. Style with wide leg trousers for a put-together look, or with jeans or shorts for an effortless off-duty vibe.

Linen Wide-Leg Trousers
Nothing says Summer quite like linen. Wide leg trousers in a neutral tone are the chameleon of your wardrobe ~ dressed up with a structured top and cute little kitten heels, relaxed with a fitted tee and sandals or paired with sweet sneakers for comfy walking around on your summer trip. The fabric breathes beautifully in warm weather, keeping you comfortable from morning to evening plans.
03 The everyday essential
The Perfect Basic Tee
Never underestimate a great tee. When the fit is right and the quality is there, a basic tee becomes one of the most used and easy pieces in your wardrobe. Tuck it into high-waist trousers for a polished, put-together look, knot it over jeans for something a little more relaxed or throw it on with shorts. Keep it casual and comfortable and still completely put together ~ it's the understated piece that goes with so much.

The Slip-On Dress
Some days you just need to get dressed and go with no fuss ~ and that's exactly what a slip-on dress is made for. Throw it on, add a sandal, a polished accessory and you're out the door looking intentional without trying too hard. Light fabric, a relaxed fit, and just enough drape to feel elevated. Effortless is the whole point! Weekend errands or vacation excursions, not complicated but so cute.

Statement Accessories
I can't emphaize the importance of accessories to pull a look together. Sometimes it really is the difference between a plain outfit and a styled look. Oversized gold hoops, a cute bag or some bangles are really my go to and can honestly transform the simplest outfit from boring to chic and polished.
Be playful ~ add your personality! My every day go-to is chunky rings, always! It's my thing. I love bold, statement rings. This adds a little "me" to my looks and instantly makes me feel a bit more "dressed". From basic outfits to something a bit more polished!

Summer dressing doesn't have to be complicated. The goal should always be simple: to feel good, look good, and move through your day with ease. When your wardrobe works for you, everything else flows a little smoother. I believe in the power of clothes and dressing up, when we look good we feel good. Clothing has the power to change how we feel and how we behave.
